DOC Campania
Az. Agr. Torre Varno

Another chapter in my ongoing search for off-beat grapes. This was one of the more interesting wines I have had in a while.

Bright yellow, with green tints, in the glass.

Floral, honey, citrus on the nose.

Medium weight, salty, lemon, green apple, very spicy and peppery, round in the mouth, lots of crisp acidity. honeyed, rich, with some bitter grapefruit rind toward the end.

Smoky, salty bacon on the long finish.

Purchased at $16.95 (Canadian).
