WTN: Bargain NZ Riesling

by Jenise » Thu May 07, 2009 8:35 pm

The wine:
2007 Carrick Riesling, Central Otago

The tasting note:
Bright and sassy with some limestone minerality and mild citrus fruit. A little sweeter than I usually go for but the acidity keeps is nicely in balance. "Dangerously drinkable", as one critic put it.

The price:
Ran around $20-22 on release, but I found it at Grocery Outlet today for $6. Back up the truck....
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

$6 is a silly price - makes you wonder why they felt the need to virtually give it away? Surely it would have sold quickly at $10?
