Chianti Classico 1999 - Fattoria di Fèlsina Beradenga - Alc. 13%. - (c.€15 for current vintage)
The previous bottle of this opened two years ago was unexpectedly light-weight with a slight stink viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8570&p=68334&hilit=felsina#p68334 but this one was all a basic Chianti Classico should be, in spite of a leaky cork and level at the bottom of the neck.
C: Red beginning to brick.
N: Distinguished tangy red fruit with a hint of leather.
P: Medium/full bodied and beautifully balanced and shaped with good depth of ripe but savoury fruit, minerals, mature Sangiovese tangy acidity, good structure and length. Alas, my last bottle, otherwise I would have opened another. 17/20 QPR!!
