I had this sweet wine out of sheer curiosity as a stop-gap between main course and dessert at a restaurant last night, and it blew me away. The aroma wasn't overly promising, smelling as it did faintly of medicine and bitter wormwood, but the variety of flavour blew me away. It was almost like a summer fruit salad - red grape, blackcurrant, strawberry and cherry all fighting for attention on your tongue, whilst a backing band of dark chocolate and medicine made a delightful counterpoint to all that sweet fruit. Sensational. 5/5
The "official" tasting notes claim this should be predominantly lychee and rose which I didn't get at all. And good job too, since what I got was considerably more interesting
