Vina Tocornal
Valle Central
Light cherry red in the glass.
Earthy, spicy, tangy and salty (?) nose.
Light bodied, quite smoky, light raspberry and strawberry fruit, a bitter-earthy bite, spicy, charred, floral, an odd sulphur-like chemical streak, drying toward the end.
Drying on the mouthwatering finish.
Certainly not an earth-shaking Pinot, but an okay wine, IMHO, for summer picnics or sipping on a backyard deck.
Screwcap closure.
Purchased at $10.95 (Canadian).
