WTN: That's e-neuf for me

1999 Clos du Mont-Olivet Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Time has really changed much of the wine landscape in the Southern Rhone. This lovely Chateauneuf would probably receive decent, but not great reviews as a humble Cotes du Rhone in the current market. It's not weighty, nor is it inky dark, but it has an alluring perfume of earth and herbs, and carries enough fruit to make it as pleasurable a drink on its own as it was with dinner. Lovely wine that is ready to drink today.

How could it possibly be good enough? Has anyone given it 98 points?
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...

Nope. That's probably why it's good enough.

it's the same old pain it used to be

But seriously, this is a wine I love for all that earth and olives.

I snacked on some olives while drinking it.
