Dinner with my parents at the local Asian BYO.
We started with another bottle of the N.V. Domaine Tissot Crémant du Jura which was just as lovely as the bottle on the prior night (see here. It was especially good with my various and sundry types of tuna sushi.
A bottle of the 2006 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Hillside once again showed why this producer is my favorite among California Pinot Noir producers. The red fruits are significantly less candied than in some Cali Pinot, and the wine is very well balanced. I don't find it at all heavy, just a pure expression of Pinot Noir fruit. If I could figure out how to keep my hands off these I might try aging a bottle or two.
