A little more than 7,000 employees of the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) are poised to strike at 12:01am Wed., June 24, which would be the first strike in the Board's history.
The LCBO claims its 800 managers will "do their best" to keep the 600 stores operating, but even a math dunce like myself can figure out that ain't gonna happen, particularly if, as the union claims, it will picket and attempt to shut down key warehouses and distribution points.
Living and working as close as I do to the Quebec border, I am luckier than many other Ontario residents, but this still could be a major pain.
