Thanks for the link, Bob. I drank Malbec for years but not so much in the last 5 or so due to what I perceive is an Aussie influence. That is to say many of the modern Malbecs are big ooze monsters that don't pair well with foods and are more "cocktail" wines that clamor for "ooohs" and "aahhs".

If you see a producer in your area called Gougenheim, sample theirs. Very feminine and pinot-like, and an excellent food wine.

Actually stumbled across a few yesterday, never saw one before. Sampled last night and very nice. It was a feminine style showing some brite fruit and spice with a linguring finish and the nice part was $8.99 per bottle...thanks Jenise.
