WTN: Andean Vineyards Malbec 2007

Mendoza

Dark purple in the glass.

Red licorice and spicy on the nose.

Spicy, tangy acidity, fleshy raspberry, black cherry, drying, cinnamon, red licorice, medium weight, peppery, cedary, showing a bit of heat toward the end.

With time, the wine became a bit firmer and the vibrant fruit became more muted.

Peppery, drying on the finish.

Am wondering if a bit of cellar time might fix things.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
