WTN: 4 Italian wines by the glass (well quartino)

Last night we took some friends out to Mima, a little vinoteca in Irvington. We shared some salumi (bresaola, Abbruzese sausage, speck) and a couple orders of fritto misto, then I opted for short ribs. We ordered a variety by the glass, I didn't sample the Falesco Merlot or the Falanghina, but did drink or try:

2007 Di Lenardo Sauvigon (Friuli)
Nice midweight SB, clean gooseberry and apple fruit, just a hint of grass. B

2006 Umani Ronchi "Casal di Sara" Verdicchio d.Castelli d. Jesi
This was a little lighter than I expected, straighforward, apple and melon, a little nutty note. B/B-

2006 Cataldi Madonna Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Ripe red cherry fruit, a little spice, just a hint of brett. B

2006  Il Roncal Refosco
Not really what I expected, some grainy tannin, low acidity, a bit grapey. A bit like so-so Dolcetto, B-/C+

Good night with good friends, even if wines didn't shine

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
