14.5% alcohol, but this comes across much lighter and leaner than expected. Wonderful nose full of bright plummy fruit, mesquite smoke, pepper and a faint floral element that emerges with time. Medium bodied and tightly wound in the mouth showing dark fruited flavours, chocolate and spices with the French oak very subtle and already well integrated. Well balanced with grainy tannins and bright acidity, finishing with good length. Really young right now, but a really enjoyable wine and amazing value. Like the Bindi Pyrette I had a few weeks ago, another great and really delicious example of the more elegant and refined side of Aussie Shiraz.
