Not Bordeaux....Boodeaux.
Named after his dog. Tiny project in hidden away Capell Valley east of Napa Valley proper. No full website...there is a blog that has not been updated in awhile...
http://boodeaux.blogspot.com/2006/02/bo ... yards.htmlThis broke my recent string of mediocre/dud wines taken from off-site storage.

Color was still quite dark, with a pretty ruby rim. Nose was my only demerit...a
very oaky nose, with anise and dark berry fruit peeking out from the oak. Luckily, the oak was NOT a problem on the palate. Instead, there was a classic and very, very juicy Napa Cab showing through, with black cassis fruit, some anise, still pretty primary. I love acid in red wines, and this wine had juicy acidic structure in spades. Might be really good with a juicy steak or even a roast chicken or a lighter stew. Still some tannins, suggesting it might be still good for awhile, but not drying out yet. 91 points....higher if I liked the nose more.
There are a couple of local stores that still carry 2002 Boodeaux...but...no cold storage (storage is grocery store level cooling (68 degrees)) Seven years on might be pushing it.
