New blog on wines from Languedoc!

by Bob Parsons Alberta » Tue Aug 04, 2009 4:23 pm

Well-known wine writer and author Rosemary George MW has recently launched a blog on the wines of the Languedoc. She has been visiting the Languedoc since 1979 and has a house down there near Pézenas, so you can be assured that the blog will be authoritative.

Thanks, Bob. Look forward to perusing her thoughts!

I think she might be thinking of rewriting her popular book? There are some true Languedoc fans here on this site, Rosemary`s write-ups should please eh.

We have Loire-heads....and Malbec Hounds! What about the Languedoc?

Tim, good suggestion. Last night I was trying to work with the word "garrigue". What about Languedoc Garriguists, if that is the right spelling?

Too close to Garagistes for my tastes, Bob. Is "Languedoc Lovers" too prosaic?

Yikes, I had to look up the word "prosaic"! Dull, unimaginative it says.
To me it does not have the appeal of say "loire-heads".
Just realised I have hijacked my own thread (grin).

I see on the UK forum they are setting up a Lancky-Dock tasting!!!! Lets see.....Hey all you Lancky-Dock Lovers!
