Uco Valley, Mendoza
R.J. Videos/Joffre Hijas
Chilled about 15 minutes before a supper of BBQ steak.
Dark cherry red in the glass.
A poor nose: alcohol and greeness.
Medium bodied, bright, very fruity, black cherry, raspberry, red licorice, spicy, cocoa, light acidity, a mild bitter bite.
Drying, a little tannic and tangy on the finish.
Easy drinking (my descriptor) and luscious (my wife's descriptor).
Screwcap closure.
Purchased at $11.95 (Canadian) and good wine for the money (despite the corny name of the wine).
