WTN: Inniskillin Chardonnay 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Sep 20, 2009 6:22 pm

Niagara Pensinsula

Light yellow in the glass.

Pear and lime on the nose.

Bright, pear, green apple, a hint of orange, tangy, rich, spicy, creamy, viscous, medium weight.

An enjoyable wine.

Light green apple, pear, light bitter bite on the finish.

Purchased at $9.95 (Canadian).

I alwasy think of Inniskillin as a producer of the most hedonistic sweet wines.
So they make Chardonnay too. From your tasting note, this sounds like an unoaked wine.

Yes it is. The winery makes a full range of white and red wines, in addition to the sweet wines.

I've enjoyed Inniskillen Pinot Noir and Gamay, both less than $15 Cdn.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
