WTN: 2006 Yalumba Bush Vine Grenache

By the glass pour at a fantastic restaurant in Canmore, Alberta called O Bistro:

Well balanced, fruity with a hint of herbs/dust. Not alcoholic at all & a fantastic partner with my braised lamb shank. It really picked up on the herbal seasonings in the food, and kept the Grenache "bubble gum" elements to a minimum. Very nice wine that once again turned a bit of my perception of Aussie Shiraz.

When grenache is treated with respect it can produce lovely wines - one of its attributes is that lovely contradiction of red fruit and savoury herbs together.
Interesting that a grenache turned your perception of Aussie shiraz!
