WTN: 2007 Breton Nuits d'Ivresse Bourgueil

2007 Catherine et Pierre Breton Nuits d'Ivresse Bourgueil 12.5%
Cherry with iodine and a hint of iron. Good acidity but slightly sweet on the finish, with a meaty, savory element. A pleasure to drink and vanished quickly, but not quite as satisfying as yesterday's Tissot Poulsard, perhaps because slightly lacking in body. Still, a very nice and fresh cab franc.

It is a bit of a mystery to me why some light wines feel lacking in body while others don't. Perhaps it's the amount of dry extract...
"I went on a rigorous diet that eliminated alcohol, fat and sugar. In two weeks, I lost 14 days." Tim Maia, Brazilian singer-songwriter.

Extract could have something to do with it. Acidity can also play a role. Higher acid wines always seem lighter in the mouth to me.
