WTN: 2006 Clos du Tue Boeuf, Frileuse, Cheverny White

Finally, after read a lot of WTN for a long time, this is my first taste note in English ( i apologise about my poor English) but i will try to do that!
Yesterday i taste a 2006,Clos du Tue Boeuf, Frileuse cheverny White (Sauvignon Rose, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay) 13,5%

Nice shining and golden colour. Intense nose of dry bananas, apple pie, cloves and a hint of resin. Fruit very sweet. In the mouth is very sweet also, the maturity of the grapes are very perceptive and unfortunately there is no sufficient acidity to make it well balance. In general is a vary tasty wine, almost a desert wine, and it change a lot with the time in the glass. Nice but i already try better puzellats.

Re the Cheverny, I've never had a sweet one. Would have assumed any 750 ml size bottle was dry.

All of us who know him here, even those of us who have never been so fortunate as to share a glass of wine, don't doubt that for a second. So glad you decided to join us.

Wow, I knew you had been threatening to join, Marcelo, I'm happy you took the plunge! And I'm delighted that everyone has been so welcoming.

Since Marcelo is very modest, I'll just say that, beside having a keen palate, he is a talented architect, musician, watercolorist and an origami whiz. Not yet 30, he is about to become a partner in one of São Paulo's hippest architectural firms. His father is a wonderful artist and a dear friend, and Marcelo and his lovely girlfriend Raffaela have become, over the last year, our favorite drinking buddies.

I don't think the sweetness is typical for Cheverny in general. And probably not for Puzelat either. But their wines are often so different from year to year (for example this Frileuse cuvee wasn't always a blend of those three grapes) so it's hard to know. 2006 had heavy ripeness, so that probably led to the r.s.

Rahsaan, this aspect of the wines of Puzelats really makes a surprise every time that we open a bottle, but i wasn't expecting so much difference. I steel have a torreine white, lets see wat's happen. Thanks!
