Emergence PasoRobles (14.5%; 33% GrenacheBlanc/29% Marsanne, 25% Viognier, 13% Roussanne) CentralCoastWineWarehouse/SantaMaria 2009: Med.yellow color; attractive fragrant fruity/spicy/floral/honeysuckle slight earthy/smokey/OscarMeyer rather perfumed nose; soft slight tangy/citric attractive floral/honeysuckle spicy/smokey slight earthy flavor; med.long soft slight citric/tangy floral/honeysuckle/spicy/smokey bit earthy flavor; could use a bit more acid; lovely aromatics that speak mostly of GrenacheBlanc and Roussanne; a screaming deal at $7.00

1. I walked into TraderJoe's last night and saw this huge stack of wine I didn't recognize at a rock bottom price. The label said "Emergency", which I thought was a rather strange name for a wine. Wasn't till I got home and looked closely that I saw that it actually said "Emergence"
OhHum.....just another trash Chard from TraderJoe's I assumed. Picked up the label and perused it. Hmmm...a white Rhone blend...may be interesting..but at $7/btl, couldn't be much of a wine. But bought a btl anyway to try. How bad could it be coming from the CentralCoast?
Then I cracked it open when I got home from fencing and started dinner. Ummm...this actually smells like something pretty interesting. I could like this. A bit soft on the palate, typical of (presumably EastSide Paso...presumably FrenchCamp of the Miller's) Paso. Not a profound Rhone white and not going far out in time...but..holy $hit...this is pretty tasty stuff. For only $7/btl.....incredible price.
Worth checking out if you local TraderJoe's has it. I'm going back for more.
