Niagara Peninsula

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.

Enjoyed at Aqua Terra Restaurant in Kingston, Ontario with strip loin (Debbie) and pork loin (me).

Decanted at the table.

Dark red with bricking at the rim.

Leather, tobacco, earth, spicy, floral, mature notes on the nose.

Medium weight, quite mature, raspberry, cherry, tangy acidity, leather, tobacco, roses, forest floor and a bit of a bitter bite.

Tart and drying on the finish.

A very nice mature Ontario red.

Purchased at $80 (Canadian).
