A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I don't think TomDehlinger gets the recognition he deserves among us RhoneHeads for the quality of his Syrahs. They're not particularly big & extracted, not 95+ wines. They remind me of a Syrah made by a Pinot producer. They're pretty balanced & drinkable upon release, but they age might well.

2. I hate wines like this. Generally on Tues night, I get home from fencing about 9:30pm and start to make dinner. I usually cast about for something decent to drink so I can save some for folks to try at my tasting the following night. Occasionally this doesn't happen. Sometimes I'll pull a wine that's so friggin' good, one small sip demands another. And, before I know it, instead if drinking 1/3'rd to 1/2 the btl...the whole friggin' btl is gone/gone. Oy....such was last night!!!
