On the heels of the excellent 2007 vintage, the 2009 southern Rhone vintage also appears to be very good. Not too many in the US market yet but the 2009 Domaine la Florane CDR Villages A Fleur de Pampre Rouge is delightful - beautiful deep ruby color, enticing bright cherry fruit, white pepper and garrigue on the nose and purity of fruit and smooth tannins, a very good value at $15.
