I have liked Lava Cap in the past so since this wine was deeply discounted I gave it a try and glad I did. Black in color with a noise of plum and mulberry, the taste was of blackberry and cola with some green stemminess in the background that just added complexity. Very much ready to drink now but with lots of fruit and soft tannins, this wine will at least stay at this level for a few years but further complexity may or may not follow. A great pizza wine!! For $15 I'll be buying more.
