Lou,

All I have had from '09 is the Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Spatlese which was very ripe and tropical. It's a really good wine, but not what I would call classical spatlese. It's rather dessert-like (or at least it was last summer).

Not the Haag wines of yore, of course, but decent quaffers anyhow. If the price is right, one could always buy a couple for early consumption. Except them rather sweet, somewhat hollow at the core and not too serious. You will find more detailed notes - e g David from Switzerland´s from the 2009 Arrivage tasting - if you use "search".

Greetings from Sweden / Fredrik L

Not worth the $ in '09. I liked the '08s much better across the board (both the drier-style feinherb Rieslings and the sweet stuff).
