2008 Weingut Ökonomierat Rebholz Siebeldinger Im Sonnenschein Ganshorn Riesling Großes Gewächs
Outstanding once again. Very ripe, floral and tropically fruited, yet incredibly precise, detailed and focused with fantastic acidity and a vivid minerality beneath the fruit/floral flavours, conveying power with moderate weight and remarkable balance. For me, one of the great expressions of dry Riesling... along with

2008 Alzinger Riesling Smaragd Loibner Steinertal
So vividly stony and minerally that you can literally feel the stalactites growing from the roof of your mouth after each sip. There's fresh, pure citrus and pear fruit tinged with green herbal accents, fantastic acidity and an amazing sense of purity and seamlessness on the palate. I need to drink more Alzinger.

Liked your stalactite imagery.
