2010 Domaine Bernard Baudry Chinon Rosé
We're in the midst of some home construction. It's mostly exterior, but also some light interior work. Cats are stressed, dust is getting everywhere, and until yesterday I could not always get to the grill for all the equipment stacked in the garage.
So it was burgers on a beautiful late summer evening, and a bottle of Baudry for an accompaniment. I prefer my dry Rosé is less steamy weather (extremely hot weather accentuates the alcohol for me), so it was a perfect night for a light pink wine with accents of strawberry, cheery and peach skin. The acids are bright and focused, so it is almost unsafely refreshing. Nice way to close a Monday.
