Deep purple red. Rich nose of cassis, black raspberry and oak notes. Midpalate has expressive dark fruit, balancing acidity and drying tannins. Finish is quite long with drying tannins and good dark fruit. This is definitely a well-balanced food wine that is a bit astringent to sip but it really lights up with food. Full bodied and expressive
wine.
With marinated grilled lamb steaks: Really delicious match with the lamb fat calming down the tannins enough to let the black fruits express themselves, especially blackberry and black raspberry.
