Spoke with Jeff Murphy yesterday and he's made about 40 cases, I'm getting a bottle later in the week. This might be the 1st release of the season (are there others released yet?, please post). I know there are some Murphy/ Johnson fans here so I figured I'd post. Only available at the winery (I'm not affiliated). I'll post a TN when I've had the wine.

It's my sorely outdated software - I was waiting for the page to load and it just got stuck. I finally just quit it. I wish websites nowadays weren't so Flashy (pun intended).

Just ordered a bottle. First time I ever ordered wine on-line. Maybe I'm starting a new slippery slope.

Finally tried it, not complicated but nice. As a point of reference, I'll contrast it to Duboeuf. Less cranberry than Duboeuf, more of a blue/blackberry flavor. A lot less acidic than Duboeuf and a more "pleasant" experience.

The delivery of my bottle was complicated by UPS trying to deliver it when I wasn't home, so my son picked it up for me Thursday, but I haven't seen him yet. I'll probably take it to Maine for Thanksgiving.

Welcome aboard Howie. There are lots of reasons to order on-line, including not paying state sales tax on out-of-state purchases (although you are supposed to report them on your NYS income tax). That alone can offset a big hunk of the shipping charges. There are deals to be found on shipping charges as well. What I like best though is that a mixed case allows me to try a variety of wines that never show up in our local stores. If I find one I like it's easy to order more. On the negative side, as you discovered, an adult has to be home to sign when the deliveryman arrives. That's less a problem if you can have it sent to a business address.
