No, not real Eiswein but this wine, a 2006 Dr. Loosen Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett had a lot of ice in it from being in the freezer too long. With screw cap and abv of 7.5%, it was a joy to drink with equal parts of peach, apple and slate balanced by great acidity. Medium deep straw in color and my very last bottle of German table wine, I will have to do something about that.
The market for German table wine (or dessert wine for that matter) has mostly dried up in Columbus and Ft. Wayne where I do the majority of my shopping. I'll restock when next in Ft. Wayne but only to a limited extent as high quality produces are few. I'll be in D.C. this Fall for their big Fall wine sale and will have more choices then.
