I emember Steve's 60th and the celebration in that Bizerkeley park. Five years ago? I have to look back at Tom Hill now that makes me ancient. I'd hold my breath thinking about time but I'm afraid it would be my last.

thanks for all the attention, everybody. Cornelia and I went for an extremely challenging hike in the Santa Cruz mountains yesterday (we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into.); we did fine, but sure felt the climb. Then we went to Café Rouge in Berkeley and sat at the bar (best seats in the house) and had a great dinner, with rather copious amounts of wine. Not more than 20 yards from our front door, at about 10pm, I misstepped, where the sidewalk meets the parking strip, rolled my right ankle, and went down in a heap. I was so relaxed as I fell, that I bounced right up again, embarrassed mostly for having frightened my wife. I have a slightly sprained right ankle this morning, to mark the occasion. (I feel lucky to be alive!) Here's to all of you!
