WTN: Bubbles and Port

Lots of local food items last night, but we drank French and Portugese, as well as having some chocolate from Paris.

Aubry NV Brut Champagne
Disgorged June 2010, so just starting to get to where I like ot drink basic NV Champagnes. It is showing a touch of bottle complexity, with a toasty edge overlaying the still ample fruit. Very good, and good value for under $30 when i bought it.

2000 Gould Campbell Port
Nearly a pop and pour, so I will likely get a better read on the leftovers tonight. Still it was very pleasant, mid-weight and only moderately sweet. Lots of black cherry fruit, and still quite a bit of an edge. Gained fruit and weight over the course of 90 minutes or so that Laura and I spent drinking it with our chocolate.
