Rioja, S.L. Elvilar de Alava, Spain. 13% abv. Rather purple in color. Tastes mature but not over-the-hill. Subtle leathery notes. Some cassis notes. I bought a lot of wines from this producer several years ago and held onto the Crianza bottlings too long but am glad I still have a few of the Gran Reserva.
