WTN: 2007 Solune Syrah

by Brian K Miller » Tue Apr 30, 2013 12:34 pm

El Dorado Foothills, fairly high up above Grass Valley.

Started out quite "jammy" with plentiful big fruit. BUT with air and time in the glass, a ore true and balanced Syrah character came through with finely balanced acidity, that lovely high toned Syrahishness. Quite polished pepperiness and high toned fruit. Our waitress felt that the wine might even need more bottle age!
