Mosel River, Germany.
Darker straw color with clarity. Pungent, enjoyable nose of citrus (tangerine, grapefruit, and maybe a hint of pineapple.) More floral and honeyed on the palate than the nose led me to expect. I suspect this could qualify to be labled at the spatlese level. This seemed to be even better on the second and third evening and became extremely "gulpable." I had it with fried fish and with a spinach quiche. I really liked this and tried to buy more bottles on a visit to Macarthur Beverages in DC but they were out of it. I instead purchased their last bottle of the 2011 vintage of this (along with some other German Rieslings and some red Burgundies.)
