The lovely gf just opened a totally blind wine for me, sent by BenRo (thanks!!). The colour is more like a rosé than a red, but the nose is more red-like than rosé.
The first thought that came to me upon sniffing is Beaujolais, but not Cru as there isn't enough depth and complexity. But the colour just does not fit.
There is raspberry, earth and even the tiniest hint of minerals (always positive for me!

My guess: Beaujolais. But what in Bojo? Does not have the complexity or depth of Crus. Odd. Besides, who makes a rosé that acts like a red in Bojo? I'm at a loss. Whatever, I like it very much.
... a little time forward, and gf shows the bottle:
Bloody hell!!! It's Passionvale Gooseberry 2005. This is BenRo's own wine.
