Musky plum aromas along with some black cherry and alcohol. Oaky cherry, aspartame, thin and metallic on the finish. About ok and that's it, but it does show better with food and on the 2nd day as well, so perhaps hope prevails? 13.5% B-B+

I haven't had any 2008s in the last several months, but it never seemed like a vintage that was going to be open and lush in its mid-period. Tough time to judge.

I don't think 2008 is especially lush but I have been drinking enough to judge and I haven't noticed it especially shutting down, at least not the producers I've been drinking.
