The winery holds for several years after bottling before release. 12.98% alcohol by volume. Quite a dark, dense color. The nose has a purity of fruit with elegant restraint rather than jamminess. Quite tart and acidic intially but still manages to be inviting. The palate leans toward dark berries and plumskins. It doesn't taste tired. Definitely still performing in the glass. Give it some air before drinking. My final bottle of the 2000 vintage but I may have one 1999 vintage left.
