WTN: 2013 Matthiasson Rosé

2013 Matthiasson Rosé - USA, California, Napa Valley (5/10/2014)
Crisp, focused and refreshing. There's light berry fruit and a persistent, richer than expected finish. Very enjoyable, and at 11.5% alcohol it is easy to enjoy a lot of it.

Do you know what grape variety or varieties?

Pretty sure it is Syrah.

Napa is making some surprisingly good rose' lately.

Must be trendy amongst the gentleman farmers.

Love a good rose'.

Steve does nice work with those grapes, most of which are from Yolo county. I think there's a bit of Grenache in the '13 also.
