Let me tell you something:

This was a golden era for Cos D'Estournel...I did not mention on the other thread that the 1989 Cos was spectacular and now surpasses the 1989 Montrose. The 1986 Cos is also a barnstormer and the 1985 is an over-achiever too.

Jenise - you are bad! The best of the 88s (a vintage I rather like for the classic framework) is the Margaux for me. Had one recently and it was brilliant - much better than the Mouton for instance.

I have some Pichon Baron I haven't gotten into yet - a very good wine in this vintage.
