One of my favourites was from August Eser, the daughter Desiree is now in charge.
2010 August Eser Oestricher Lenchen Riesling Spatlese Trocken, Rheingau.
12.5% alc, $33 Cdn, classic packaging and was well received by the tasters along with their Hattenheimer Nussbrunnen RST. Mineral, earthy, peach nose. Initial entry thought was off-dry, citrus, apples. Needless to say I did not serve too chilled. Good grip, high acidity but not bracing. Not too sweet at all and I felt I should stash a few away. Hopefully I will get around to posting my thoughts on the other wines I offered .
