2012 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (10/19/2014)Sampled this over the course of two evenings, and while enjoyable, I do think it is starting to close in on itself. The sweetness and acidity are very well balanced but the effusive fruit elements that exploded from the glass when the wine was first released are much more restrained now. This is the second 2012 Spatlese I have had in recent weeks that had closed up, so it may be time to stick these in a dark corner for several years.
