2013 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel - Germany, Nahe (12/20/2014)
From a 750 ml bottle that vanished as if it were a 187, this was magical. The peach and cherry fruit was accented by ginger, Asian spices and a deep, firm mineral base. Elegant, pure and incredibly long, it was a monument to the grape, the vineyard and the producer. Stunning stuff that is irresistible now. Wow!
