1996 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (1/17/2015)18+ years since harvest, and this has really come together. It has a honey coated crisp apple aroma, and very measured sweetness that buffers bracing acidity. The mid-palate shows just a hint of creaminess, and the finish is dry and mouthwatering. It's been a long wait, but this is pretty fabulous.

There seems to be something special about Sonnenuhr. This was made clear to me at MOCOOL 2013, however, there were no Selbach-Oster Zeltinger.
