JosephPhelpsVnyd Scheurebe LateHrvst NapaVlly (9.7%; RS: 12.0%; SaH: 28.5 Brix) 1982: Deep golden rather browning color; beautiful ripe/mango/pineapply some botrytis/peachy/apricotty slight herbal very pencilly/cedary/tobaccoy very complex/spicy/exotic lovely nose; off-dry rather tart rich/lush/mouthfilling quite pineapply/mango strong botrytis/peachy/apricotty rather pencilly/cedary complex beautiful flavor; very long/lingering strong botrytis/apricotty lush/ripe/mango/pineapple/R-like fairly tart/tangy slightly sweet complex beautiful finish; a terrific rather R-like LateHrvst in great condition.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This wine came from the orphan stash discovered in my garage, having been there in uncontrolled conditions for over 20 yrs. Absolutely no signs of oxidation or going round-the-bend, other than the deeply brown color. Shoulda been totally shot. It was not and in beautiful condition. I would guess the RS saved this wine.
