It was my wife's B-day so we had king crab and a 2008 Newton Unfiltered Chardonnay, a wine I have been saving for a special occasion. The wine was very nice and perfectly sound with semi-spicey pear fruit, a touch of oak and good acidity but not like I remember from these wines from the early 90's. No viscousity and less depth of fruit than I remember but still a wine that could go another 5 or more years. My last bottle of this and I think I will stick with Beringer PR Chardonnay in the future.
