2006 Schlossgut Diel Dorsheimer Goldloch Riesling Großes Gewächs - Germany, Nahe (5/25/2015)It only took 7 years, but this wine finally came around. Sadly it was my last bottle. It was still not a great wine, but it was certainly good. The fruit was still evident, and was accompanied by a bit of spice and a honeyed note. There was no sign of any of the odd/off aromas I had experienced with this wine in the past. It was rich, and in fact a bit heavy for a dry Riesling, but that was likely the vintage speaking more than anything else. Overall a good showing, but still pretty spendy for what it was.
