WTN: Forlorn-Hope Kumo To Ame Mondeuse Rose '15..(short/bori

by TomHill » Sun May 22, 2016 10:26 pm

A beautiful NorthernNewMexico evening out on the portal as the sun slipped behind the Jemez and the lights of LosAlamos winked on in the distance, celebrating a friend's 93'rd BD today; it called for a rose:
1.Forlorn-Hope Kumo To Ame Mondeuse RorickVnyd/CalaverasCnty Rose Wine (12.02%; 34 cs; Murphy's 2015: Very pale copper/salmon color; strong cranberry/watermelon/spicy/cinammon/cardamon some earthy/dusty quite attractive nose; quite tart/lean/tangy strong cranberry/watermelon/juicy/spicy/cardamon some earthy/dusty flavor; very long juicy/spicy/cardamon/cranberry/watermelon finish; quite a pretty rose w/ lots of juicy fruit but not recognizable as Mondeuse. $26.00
A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Would anybody guess that I might have followed MattRorick's Forlorn-Hope from the very start?? Nawh...probably not.
I'm hoping this is a saignee rose and portends the release of a red Mondeuse down the road. That will be exciting to see what Matt can do w/ Mondeuse as a red wine. I'm buying.
