2013 Rhys Pinot Noir Bearwallow Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (5/23/2016)
Getting on towards 9 months since my last bottle (500 ml) of this, and it's certainly complex and interesting. Red fruit and a touch of tartness as well as minty and other cool, green elements are all in play. This is not some sweet, cola-esque wine, that's for sure. I like the weight and structure here, but I am not sure about the fruit/non-fruit balance. This is a different sort of Bearwallow from the 2008-2010 period (those were much darker).
