Transgenic yeast

Hello, I'm a eonology student from southern Brazil. I've read many articles about the ML01 yeast (transgenic Saccharomyces cerevisiae S92 with malolatic fermentation capability), published from 2006-2012.

Is ML01 a commercial product nowadays? Do the wines made with them get some form of identification because of the transgene involved?

I'm really interested in produce some experiments with the yeast, but I couldn't find a way to buy it.

If you google "ML01", you quickly find (2nd hit, and on the google page) that the yeast is commercialized by BioSpringer. So I suggest you contact them.

I think the google search will select the results based on your IP pattern or browser language, because I did a lot of searching and could't find any reference to a commercial product.

I sent an email to the BioSpringer representative in Brazil, hopefully they will reply.

Ah, yes, I am sure you are right about google. It can be annoying if you are researching something that is culturally neutral.
